Acne Scar Skin Care

Posted by Canadian health care on October 15th, 2009

As embarrassing as having acne is, the scars are even more frustrating. Your struggle with acne is finally over (and you won!) but there are still marks from it. So what can you do? There are ointments that supposedly help the scar heal, but they only work some of the time. Or, you could try to conceal them with makeup every day, after every time you wash your face. Too much work for me, I’d rather just get rid of them. Acne scar skin care is possible, and here are a few ways to do it.

- Lemon juice works surprisingly well, though it has to be fresh. Squeeze some lemon juice out and rub onto the scar, then wash off after 20 minutes with warm water. The acid will lighten the scar, making it blend more smoothly with the surrounding skin. Repeat once a day for two weeks.

- Tomatoes are another great natural treatment for acne scar skin care. Wash and slice a fresh tomato, then rub onto the scar. Let sit as long as you’d like, then wash off with warm water. The acid will work as with the lemon, and the Vitamin A will help smooth the skin and keep it elastic.

These are just a few acne scar skin care methods that are free, easy, and quick to do daily at home until your scar is gone. So why not give them a try? Make a game of it, see how quickly you can get rid of them, just get rid of your scars!

Skin Care Acne Control

Have you ever gotten rid of your acne, only to realize that your skin was so dry it was even more irritating? Most people have this problem (if they are lucky enough to even get rid of their acne), so what can you do? The trick is skin care acne control; you have to control your acne while maintaining your skin care. I know; that sounds complicated and difficult, but it’s not. The key is to use treatments that do both, try these for example.

- Cut a tomato and rub on acne spots. The acid will help with the oil of the acne, and the vitamin A will keep the skin smooth and elastic.

- Honey will absorb the moisture from the zit or pimple but will have no effect on the skin (except to make it sticky of course)

- Lemon juice will help acne in the same way that the tomato will, but the citric acid will also lighten the skin to help prevent scarring.

- Cucumbers also work miraculously as a skin treatment. Slice and put on the area of skin you want, or make a paste and use as a mask.

- Be very careful if you decide to try garlic as an acne treatment. The sulphur in it is what cures the acne, but it is also what can burn your skin. The resulting blisters can take weeks to heal. Make no mistake, garlic is extremely effective for curing acne, just be sure to not leave it on too long.

Skin care acne control may sound complicated, but it is really just a combination of two simple concepts. Learn to use it effectively and you can have the skin can everyone else is jealous of (and cheaply too).
