Low back pain is unfortunately one of the most common maladies of modern man. I say modern man because it is doubtful that our primitive ancestors abused their backs in the ways that we do. Modern civilization has taken us out of the healthy exercise mode of wandering and gathering food, of cultivating food and made us into sedentary “couch potatoes”.

The effect that this has had on our lower backs is obvious. Our sitting postures are generally quite unhealthy, slouching and allowing our lower backs to go into flexion puts a strain on the back which will eventually cause discomfort, sometimes mild but sometimes severe. Considering the number of people that spend many hours daily sitting with poor posture (especially for long periods), it is no wonder that lower back pain is so prevalent in our society.
Chronic back pain
Improper lifting is another cause of low back pain. The correct way to lift a heavy object is to place it between your feet, squat down; bending your knees, grasp the object and rise straight up using the powerful muscles of your legs to lift the weight. It is very important to lift straight up and to be careful to avoid any twisting during the lift. Your body just wasn’t made to tolerate this type of force. Awkward lifting situations are a very common cause of low back pain and should definitely be avoided.

Although we can’t avoid sitting, there are some ways we can avoid the resulting low back pain. First of all, try to break up your sitting periods; take a break, drink some water, go to the restroom, or any activity that will allow you to get up from your sitting position, even if only for a few minutes. Better yet do a few stretching exercises.

The very best one I know of is very simple and easy to do; just stand up straight, put both hands on your hips and lean backwards as far as you can, hold that for a couple of seconds, and return to your starting position. You only need to do a few of these several times a day to keep your low back healthy. Here’s to your good health.

Lower back pain exercises

If you have acute back pain due to strain or minor injury, then limited rest for 24 to 72 hours can help. Too much inactivity can worsen such problems, though. So it is a good idea to get moving as soon as you feel comfortable, and not to let your fear of pain keep you immobilized. Start with gentle, small movements and work from there.

Any exercises that move you into comfortable positions tend to be the best for treating back problems. So avoid activities and positions that could cause or increase back pain. Comfortable exercise and gentle activity are the best combination to stay flexible, build strength, and reduce back pain symptoms.

Lower back pain exercises include three basic types:
(1) strengthening exercises that focus on the back, legs, and stomach, to increase spinal support;
(2) stretches that increase your muscle and tissue flexibility, which makes them less prone to injury; and
(3) aerobic exercises, to strengthen the back and other muscles, along with the heart.

Abnormal pap smear
First, here are two lower back pain exercises that can help you stretch and strengthen. The great thing about these two is that you can do them nearly anywhere. As you do each exercise, pay attention to proper form and don’t move any faster than you feel is safe.

1. An easy back stretch:

A lot of back pain comes from doing desk work. Every hour or so, stand up, spread your feet apart slightly, place your fingertips into the hollow of the lower back, and slowly stretch back so that your shoulders and face move toward the ceiling. Keeping your balance, reach a comfortable position, and go no further. Hold this position for five to ten seconds. You may want to inhale and exhale “into the lower back” once or twice to help relieve tension and increase your depth of relaxation. Then repeat several times. The reason this works is that it moves the body into a position that is contrary to the sitting at the desk position, so it’s great for breaking up tension. Try it!

2. An easy back strengthener:

Lie on the floor, facing the ceiling. Relax your back against the floor. Bend your knees and place your feet flat against the floor. Slowly raise your head and shoulders. Keep your eyes fixed on the ceiling. Count to two, holding this position. Slowly bring your head and shoulders to the floor again. Do this sequence a total of twenty times.

3. Aerobic exercises:

Easy aerobic exercises include walking, bicycling, swimming, and wading in waist-deep water. These activities increase the level of oxygen in your body, which helps to keep back muscles healthy.

For most, walking is the easiest and most accessible form of exercise to decrease lower back stress. Walking is far less stressful than standing still, because as you shift the weight from leg to leg, you are giving the other leg “half time off.” This constant and alternating release of weight supports improved back health. So take a walk three days a week for at least twenty minutes. It’s a great antidote to sitting at the desk or standing on your feet!

Asthma Wheezing Treatment

Posted by Health articles on September 29th, 2009

Asthma is among the top ten most common lung related diseases according to world health organization. Studies show that there are many causes for asthma. They can be hereditary, environmental or even lifestyle causes. Although it is a symptom, asthma is only one of the diseases that may lead to an abnormal activity of the body called wheezing.
Wheezing Is Common Asthma Symptom for Adults
Wheezing, according to medical dictionaries is the whistling noise in the chest during breathing when the airways are narrowed or compressed. Wheezing, according to health experts is caused by nearly 586 diseases, but asthma and chronic heart diseases are the most common.

Wheezing is accompanied by shortness of breath, fast breathing or coughing up phlegm. It is common for heart disease patients as well. Heart failure is a condition in which the heart pumps inadequately because of complications such as prolonged hypertension or heart valve disease. As a result, blood backs up in the venous system.

In some cases, such a backup causes the lungs to become swollen and congested and leads to wheezing. This condition, called pulmonary edema, is an acute and potentially life-threatening symptom of congestive heart failure.

For asthma-caused wheezing, it is triggered by something that reached the sensitivity of the passage or air ways such as fumes, cigarette smoke, perfume, or even those little potpourris. The trigger may dry the bronchial tissue and constricts the smooth muscles in the lungs. Wheezing may also be caused by the inhalation of a foreign object, which blocks the larynx or bronchial tubes.

Mild wheezing may also accompany respiratory infections such as acute bronchitis and may be experienced by patients in heart failure and by some with emphysema or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD. But the characteristic whistling sound of wheezing is a primary symptom of the chronic respiratory disease asthma.

However, wheezing that develops suddenly and is accompanied by other symptoms, as well as chronic wheezing that worsens suddenly, may signal a life-threatening emergency.

Alcohol and Depression

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009

It might be that you are constantly finding alcohol to be your source of solace and getting depressed by your inability to stop this addiction. Or perhaps you find yourself depressed and alcohol seems to be the only way to rid yourself of depressive symptoms. Whichever way it is, depression and alcohol has long since bonded to become the most disruptive couple in any individual’s life. True happiness cannot be found at the bottom of a bottle and you need to take instant action now for yourself.
Health articles at technorati
Drinking alcohol while suffering from depression is much like wearing a mask only to find that nothing has changed when you take it off. Alcohol acts as a brain depressant which increases insulin output and has many negative impacts on your brain cell processes, therefore inducing poor judgment. The sudden increase of sugar in your blood may initially make you feel elated and invincible. However, once the blood sugar high is eliminated your depression will return with a vengeance and you will suffer even more irritability. At this point you will consume more alcohol to feel high again and thus starting the vicious cycle again. All this will lead to alcohol addiction and inevitably liver problems among other health problems.

Effective Methods To Rid Yourself Of Alcohol And Depression

Exercise And The Right Diet
Exercise plays an important role in curbing alcohol addiction as well as depression. By scheduling 3 sessions of exercise for half-an-hour periods per week, this steady supplement of exercise will increase the endorphins in your brain and gives you a natural high and sense of enjoyment. Food will taste better and the best part is: there are absolutely no negative side effects from constant exercise! Play a game of football, take a jog around the park or go for a swim and you will find yourself in a constant energetic relaxed mood.

Also, never give up your hobbies no matter what they are as you definitely need time to have fun and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Besides that, the right diet which focuses on the correct nutritional aspects goes a long way. Do not work your way into extreme diets which focus on only one nutritional area which will leave your body desiring other food groups.

Psychotherapy
Cognitive behavioral approach is one of the most effective mental treatments for alcohol and depression sufferers. This category of psychotherapy enables you to view your problem or current situation from different angles and will change you into an optimistic person, and thereafter you will be taking a new and powerful approach to solve your problems.

For example, it is not that you HAVE TO go and toil at work daily. Instead, you CHOOSE TO work because the circumstances of not being able to make ends meet is worse (doing nothing is an option). So in reality you have already chose the best option available and you need to make the best of it. By taking a positive attitude to work or whichever area in your life, you will open up opportunities which might not be obvious before. Try breaking large burdens into smaller tasks is a way of attaining your goals. Give yourself the recognition you deserve and record down your successes no matter how minor it is. Your deserved sense of achievement will come and this will increase your self-esteem in no time.

Meditation
Meditation is an excellent way of releasing stress and unwanted thoughts and increases your ability to focus and interpret events rationally. Try sitting in a comfortable position with your spine aligned with your head in a straight line. Take deep breaths and focus on your timing of inhaling and exhaling. Think happy thoughts from your past where you have achieve something, no matter how small you deem it to be. For example, the first time you have successfully rode a bicycle. Positive visualization works wonders on your mental health and you will find yourself passionate again about achieving your former goals and dreams. You will no longer dependent on alcohol and depression will be a distant memory.

Sports Injuries and Painkillers

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009

I happened to bump into a good mate of mine the other day who is suffering from an injury. Now those of you who have read my blogs regularly will (hopefully) know that the major reason sports injuries do not heal properly is from lack of appropriate rehabilitative exercises. It is imperative that you get your problem diagnosed so that you can commence rehab on the injured area as soon as the inflammatory phase is over (the first 2-3 days) to get a strong and flexible repair. If you do not do this you will not recover the strength and function needed to return to your activities like before. I am sure many of you know people who have had injuries and done nothing and now complain of the shoulder that ’still aches’, or the elbow that ‘never has felt the same’ or ’still hurts if they really push it’. It’s because after an injury scar tissue replaces the injured tissue and this needs to be stretched and strengthened to give the injury its strength and flexibility to be able to use the joint or muscle like before.

So you can imagine my surprise when my friend told me that he was about to embark on a 5 day super potent course of painkillers and see what happens after that. He had decided to do this because his friend had done this and told him that he should try it too. (His friend by the way is still suffering in pain and has been for over two years now). I don’t understand the logic here? If you have a torn tendon which my friend has, how are painkillers going to fix the tear? They won’t. What is worse is that he will more than likely feel no pain and go back and do his activities or sports that he wanted to return to because(due to his super potent painkillers) he is no longer feeling any pain. And he will tear his tendon again. And probably not listen to his friend for the crappy advice he gave him in the future. (I hope).

How is it that people who are intelligent in many areas seem to put their brains on standby mode when it comes to their health? I see people on an almost daily basis who guess with their health and pray to the gods that they will get better. These are the same people who would never have their expensive cars be fixed by the bloke down the road ‘because their car has sophisticated gadgetry and they need someone who is professional and knows what he is doing’. However, they are happy to get advice from their mate at the pub or their cousin who according to him had exactly the same problem and knows what to do, or their aunty who knows ‘just the trick’ or even the internet. If your brand new Mac air laptop goes on the blink I guarantee you that you take it to a computer expert to get the problem diagnosed and fixed properly by someone who knows what he is doing. Of course you would, because your computer is worth a lot of money and is very complex. So have you ever considered that your body is the most sophisticated, most complex machine you will ever own? It is. Have you ever considered that guessing with your health could have dire effects both short and long term? It can.
Painkillers or pain medications information here
Pain is your body’s warning system to tell you there is something wrong. If you were driving along in your brand new car and the oil light came on would you:

A) Get it checked as soon as possible because you know that the light tells you that the car has a problem (the warning system)
Or
B) Cover up the oil light with a piece of tape so that you could no longer see the light anymore. If you no longer see the light you could think that the problem doesn’t exist anymore. (By hiding the warning system)

Of course you would pick the first one because you are intelligent enough to know that if you keep driving you will damage the car more. So when it comes to your body, how is it that many people are happy to take painkillers to hide the pain? Or put another way, covering up their warning system with the piece of tape.
Sports injuries
You must get your problem diagnosed properly and be giving the appropriate treatment and exercises to achieve full recovery. Otherwise, you will regret it, I can assure you.

Hand foot mouth disease

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009

Hand foot mouth disease is a viral disease you don’t hear about a lot although it does affect many children under the age of 10 as well as some adults. The time that is most common is during the summer and fall months.

Some of the symptoms that usually develop include a fever, a sore throat or mouth, and many times a loss of appetite. These are your earlier symptoms. Normally within a period of a couple of days, blisters will form in the mouth and on the tongue. Children sometimes will develop a blistering rash on their fingers and on the palms of their hands, as well as on the soles of their feet which is usually painless. If your infant turns up with it, they normally end up with a rash on her behind as well.

There isn’t any real treatment for hand foot mouth disease other than to try to relieve the pain and fever with acetaminophen. You also want to give the person that is infected with this illness plenty of water and fluids. Often times it is nice to offer them foods that are soft and bland, and beverages that are either cool or warm but never hot. Another thing that might help the mouth pain either fruit pops or fudge sickles. Just something to help numb the mouth.

This virus is easily spread, so if your child ends up with it they shouldn’t go back to school. It is necessary to keep them out of school or keep yourself out of work until all the symptoms are completely gone. In most cases the symptoms will disappear within a week, so you can pretty much count your self out for that week of work or your child from that week of school.

The way that the virus spreads is through mucous membranes such as the mouth and the nose. It can also spread through contact with fecal matter, so it is always important to wash your hands after using the restroom. Make sure that you pay close attention to keeping your hand sanitary after cleaning your child’s nose or changing your baby’s diaper as this is an easy way to spread the disease. Hand sanitizer is a must.

Although this disease isn’t real common it is important to know what to look for are what to consider that it might be if symptoms appear. Try to keep the person comfortable and wait out the virus. That is about all that you can really do.

Autism and sleep problems

Posted by Health articles on September 28th, 2009

Recurring sleep problems in a child with autism can affect mood, stamina, behavior, socialization, and their ability to do well at school or with their work. Having trouble falling asleep each night, talking, waking up once or more per night, waking after too little sleep and staying up all day: it’s a wonder they can perform at all with such a low amount of energy and rest to rely upon. Naturally, this also affects everyone working with the child and those caring for them. Therefore it is in everyone’s best interest to look into different ways to help these children overcome these barriers to being at their best each day.

Some important factors to consider are:

- diet

- schedule

- bedtime and pre-bedtime routines

- exercise (different kinds can have different effects on alertness or a relaxed state in the body)

- recognizing problems that require medical attention

- keeping a diary to record the day and night time observations and progress

- maintaining progress made

There are many available resources to help with this. If you belong to an autism family/parent support group, listen and ask if any other parents have autistic children with sleep problems, and ask them how they are working on it. There are a number of people who may already be involved in the therapies for your child whom you are already consulting or seeing for appointments that you can ask, and they may even have other clients or patients whom they know are successfully making progress with improving sleep. These could include your family doctor, your pediatrician, your naturopath, your child’s psychologist, your speech pathologist, your occupational therapist…the list goes on. There are also accredited sleep centers and support groups that you can look for on the Internet to see what is local or closest to your area.
Movement Disorders
A proper night’s sleep each night that includes enough deep sleep is essential to your child’s happiness and directly affects how well they do each day. It is no different for the rest of us, either; being at our best gives us better access to the best in ourselves, which means we feel better and have more to give, too.

Andropause

Posted by Health articles on September 28th, 2009

Andropause. Symptoms and Cure

Andropause is the term that is used to describe male menopause. To known more about Andropause, it requires better understanding of the male sex hormone Testosterone and how it affects men.

Testosterone is the hormone that is responsible for growing boys into men. It is the influx of this hormone during puberty that leads to the growth of external male genitalia, growth of beard, torso and pubic hair, deepening of voice, increased muscle mass and strength etc.,
Maxaman online
However, the production of testosterone begins dipping with age.

Testosterone starts declining at 10% a decade after the age of 30 and by the time you reach 40, the effects become quite profound. There are factors that can aggravate this decline and these are the men who are said to be undergoing Andropause.
Testosterone not only affects your sex drive or libido and sexual function but it also affects your entire body both physically and mentally.

In fact there is little in a man’s body that is not affected by this hormone and as such there is little left untouched by the decrease in quantity of testosterone.

Though medical researchers and doctors have been aware of this since the 1940’s, until recently there has not been a way to diagnose andropause.

Symptoms of Andropause

You may be suffering with andropause if you have experienced following andropause symptoms:
–reduced energy levels
–decreased muscle mass
–increased fat content and weight gain
–reduced sex drive or libido and impotence
–irritable behavior and mood swings
–excessive sweating
hair loss etc.,
Propecia 5 mg online

Though all of the above are likely symptoms of andropause, the most significant andropause symptom and the one that makes a man feel that something is wrong is the sexual dysfunction. More often than not men try to solve this problem through prescription medication rather than getting to the root of the problem. Men often consider symptoms of andropause as signs of aging. While it is true that aging is often accompanied with these symptoms it is a matter of severity.

How to Boost Testosterone Production Naturally

Though there are quite a few men who go to the extreme of getting testosterone therapy, you can enhance testosterone naturally.

Your diet plays a crucial role in determining your overall and sexual health. In order to have an optimum level of testosterone you must eat foods that are moderate in proteins and essential fats and limited in carbohydrates. Moreover, regular exercise also help boost testosterone production.

Reduced stress levels and adequate sleep are also natural testosterone boosters.

Moreover, there are herbs that can help enhance your testosterone levels naturally without the side effects of hormone replacement therapy.

Tribulus Terrestris, Tongat Ali or long jack are tow such herbs that have been used since ages to enhance testosterone production in men since ages.

Moreover, there are some natural or herbal supplements that not only increase testosterone production but also increase blood circulation and enhance HGH levels. Such supplements help reduce and even reverse age effects and are getting increasingly popular among men.

Osteoporosis is on the increase in the world, but particularly in the western world. With increased knowledge about health care and better diets than in past decades, how is this possible?

It really comes down to diet. There is a saying that you are what you eat. Women are traditionally the primary food providers in a family. With women now going to work, often full time, convenience food is becoming more common.
Most people are aware convenience food aren’t healthy, but they are, well, convenient.
But there is absolutely no need to fall for the fast food, the supermarket packets, the frozen food, the tinned food, to bring together a meal quickly. These are all ‘dead’ foods, most having been processed so much there are few nutrients left.

You can create a quick meal which is also nutritious. It’s just knowing what you need. And how to do it.

Most people don’t eat nearly enough fresh fruit and vegetables. This should be the key to every healthy diet, not just when you’re trying to prevent or reverse osteoporosis. Make fresh fruit and vegetables at least 50% of your diet.

Try to eat as much of it raw as possible. Cooking destroys enzymes and enzymes are essential to good health.

Buy appetizing and exciting produce. Don’t just purchase the normal, if it doesn’t excite you. Make eating a pleasure. Don’t stint on this side of your grocery bill.

If you are on a budget, you will be far healthier to spend the bulk of it on fresh fruit and vegetables than on meat, dairy or convenience foods.
Green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, kale, bok choi, broccoli, etc are very high in digestible calcium, in natural balance. These can be quite a dull vegetable to eat, especially raw. But if you have a powerful blender, you can include them in delicious smoothies.
For example, blend bananas, raspberries and baby spinach. Vary the ingredients and quantities to suit your palate, but make sure there is plenty of spinach. This is one of the best and most delicious answers to preventing and reversing osteoporosis.

How’s that for a quick, easy and above all, nutritious breakfast? I challenge you to try that one on your kids, too.

This alone will do you far more good than any isolated or synthetic mineral supplement on the market. You evolved to gain your nutrients from food. Isolated and synthetic supplements are made in the laboratory. They are not in natural balance and at best are quickly eliminated (expensive poo). At worst they hang up in parts of your body where they have the potential of causing damage.

Damage such as kidney stones. Some of the supplements have even been found to cause osteoporosis.

Supplementing your diet is certainly a sound idea, in today’s stressful world. You just need to be aware that there are supplements and supplements. Blue green algae is known as a super food. This means that it has all the macro nutrients and many of the micro nutrients, all in natural balance. So it can be absorbed by your body easily.

Cold virus and regular flu

Posted by Health articles on September 24th, 2009

Prevention, protection and treatment of the Common Cold

Common cold and regular flu are the most commonly occurring illnesses in the entire world, with more than 1 billion colds per year reported in the United States alone. The common cold is a self-limited illness caused by any 1 of more than 200 viruses. You usually do not need to call your doctor if you catch a cold. For more severe symptoms or a prolonged duration of symptoms, you should visit your doctor. An office visit will usually be fine.

I. How to protect yourself from cold and flu

1. Stop stress – Pushing yourself too hard depresses the immune system. When your defenses are down, you are vulnerable to a cold or flu virus.

2. Healthy diet – A healthy diet is important to keep your immune system strong. Avoid junk food and consume more fruits, vegetables and plenty of non-caffeinated liquids.

3. Taking vitamin C daily – During cold season, taking extra vitamin C helps to strengthen your defenses against cold viruses. This helps to reduce the severity of cold symptoms. Be sure to wash your hand after using any office equipment, especially when one of your co-workers have colds.
Vitamin C Information
II. If you have a cold

1. Drink a lot of hot fluids. Traditionally, a family member who has cold or flu is only allowed to take hot chicken soup and chicken congee, avoiding all the hard to digest and cold foods. No one knows why but it works more effectively. Hot tea also keep the nasal passages open.

2. Take an antihistamine to relieve stuffy nose.

3. Treat coughs with the right cough medicine Coughs that produce phlegm can be treated by the ingredient guaifenesin which loosens the mucus that causes you to cough. If you have a dry and irritating cough, dextromethorphan might be used to suppress it during the night so you can sleep. Unless absolutely necessary do not use antibiotics. Overuse of antibiotics do more harm than good to your body.

Prevention and Treatment with Foods
A.Here are some foods that can be eaten regularly so you can strengthen up your immune system and kill the bugs before they can attack.

If you look closer to any chicken soup recipe, you can see there are a lot of garlic, onions, peppers, etc which are natural remedies helping to improve immune system.

2. Contessa
Mix regular tea with 1 teaspoon of honey, congac, butter each and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and drink them while it is hot before bed time. You will see the difference when you wake up in the morning.

3. Honey and apple cider vinegar
Mix 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar and an equal amount of honey. It is particularly effective for a cold with a sore throat.

4. Tea, cinnamon, sage and bay leaves
Prepare tea by steeping equal parts of cinnamon, sage, and bay leaves in hot water. Strain and before drinking the tea add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and honey.

5. Sunflower seeds
Boil 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds in 5 cups of water until there is about 2 cups of water left in the pot. Then add 2 cups of honey and 1/2 cup of gin. Take 2 teaspoons three times a day just before mealtime.

6. Drink a lot of non dairy liquid, so you can keep flushing out your system.

B. Prevention and Treatment with Nutritional Supplements:
Here are some nutrients that have proven record of preventing cold and flu. Keep these nutrients in mind when the cold and flu season comes.

1. Vitamin C
This nutrient strengthens the immune system, accelerating its ability to combat harmful substances. Bowel tolerance doses can be taken orally and more can be taken with out this effect when administered intravenously.

2. Bioflavonoids
Working together with vitamin C, Bioflavonoids assists in the management of cold and flu by reducing the severity and duration of symptoms, helping to maintain and strengthen capillary and connective tissues. It also has an effectiveness of relieving varicose and surface veins.

3.DHEA
This adrenal hormone offers immune enhancing qualities and helps fight viruses.

4.Zinc
Zinc plays an important role in preventing and treating cold and flu. It is required by the thymus gland that is a major link in the immune system, helping to produce highly differentiated and educated cells that can fight off the onslaught of new bacteria and viruses.

5. Shark liver oil
Seagate shark liver oil has one of the highest natural levels of Omega 3 fatty acids in the world. Deficiencies in these fatty acids have been noticed in studies involving people having nervous disorders. Shark liver oil also helps in boosting the production of virus fighting cytokines and alkylglycerols make shark liver oil the natural fighter of antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal forces.

6.Melatonin
Melatonin has the ability to trigger T-helper-cell production. T-helper-cells are necessary for the immune system in recognizing cancer cells, viruses, bacteria and fungi.

There are many more nutrients which have a power in strengthening your immune system, helping to fend of cold and flu such as medical mushroom, gamma- Linoleic acid, and etc.

C. Prevention and Treatment with With Herbs:
Here are some herbs that might help to prevent cold virus and flu:

6.Peppermint
Peppermint is an expectorant and a decongestant. It may offer some relief for mild asthma attacks, lessening bronchial constriction and making it easier to breathe. Peppermint promotes sweating, which could possibly help regulate body temperature during a fever, which is good news during cold and flu season.

D. Treatment with Homeopathy
Homeopathy have been proven to help relieve cold or flu. The homeopathy physician analyzes many factors, including the speed of onset of symptom, sensation, how the patient looks and his or her mental state.

1.Early stages of common cold and flu:

a) Aconite
This remedy is often prescribed for robust people, as well as those who eat meat often. Only 30c pellets under the tongue is needed to get a cold to disappear.

3. For advanced stages of cold and flu:

a) Arsenicum Album
People with symptoms of burning eyes, sinus, irritation in the nose, sneezing, extreme chill, restlessness and fever. This person feels worse at night and better in the morning.

b) Mercurius vivus
The cold is already in the advanced stage and the immune system is weakened. People have soar throats that feel with swallowing, as well as sneezing, bad cough, and night sweats.

c) Hepar Sulph
This remedy helps deep colds and flu when this turns into infection and sinusitis. The person is very chilly and there is often mucus in the lung with thick and yellow discharge. Antibiotics may be used.
I hope this information will help.

Obesity in the USA

Posted by admin on September 24th, 2009

Obesity is a common condition in the United States that has increased greatly over the past couple of decades. Many balance the growing waistlines on fast foods, while others claim the US population has simply become lazy. With 4 out of 10 being overweight it is hard to argue with. Being overweight is more than looks, today individuals are finding that carrying the extra weight increases their chances of disease and has even been said to shorten their lives by several years. So, this growing epidemic must be taken seriously to say the least. The statistics do not lie meaning that each and every person needs to find ways to engage in a healthier lifestyle.

A Pound A Day

Most people are not putting on a pound a day, but it is not uncommon for a 10 pound increase over a year’s time. With 59 million Americans being obese, they are gaining much faster than they should be. There are a number of reasons for those weight gains and everyone has their own excuses, however that doesn’t help their health. Of course the most obvious is eating healthy, through a well balance and nutritious diet. Another important facet of losing weight is through exercise. Anything from walking, swimming to hitting the gym can help keep weight off and improve overall well being.

A Few Weight Reduction Tips
Cialis professional
Soda and junk food must be kept to a minimum. They are both loaded with sugar and have zero nutritional value. Instead try low fat snacks and a glass of water. Water is another important part of weight maintenance.
